About The Position

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): AZ, NC, TX. This position is responsible for the leadership and management of programs across the Bank. Oversees the complex, strategic coordination of multiple projects within an initiative in order to achieve business goals, including management of overall scope, cost, staffing, and performance. Evaluates program effectiveness and delivers tactical insight through reporting to senior management and other key stakeholders. This position will primarily support IT Infrastructure programs that are part of the First Citizens Bank Technology Strategy Roadmap, M&A Integration programs, Data Center Optimization program, Cloud Adoption program, and Platform Consolidation programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Project management or Program management.
  • High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Project management or Program management.

Nice To Haves

  • Program Management Experience: IT Infrastructure, Data Center Optimization, Cloud Adoption.
  • Experience in IT Strategy & IT Infrastructure project delivery.
  • Experience at a Large Financial Institution (LFI).
  • Experience with Clarity or similar PPM tools.
  • Experience with Jira for project planning, delivery, and reporting.
  • PMP certification or PgMP certification.
  • Experience delivering projects via Agile methodology (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and evaluates all aspects of assigned programs including sub-projects and related initiatives.
  • Manages planning, schedule, resources, and risk.
  • Ensures quality and compliance, implementing corrective action where necessary, to ensure cohesion between individual projects and the overall program.
  • Communicates key performance indicators and program metrics to the appropriate parties.
  • Collaborates with business units and senior executives to understand Bank needs, aligning the goals and purpose of projects to wider strategic objectives.
  • Develops cases to outline and justify program-level initiatives in accordance with organizational planning.
  • Develops influential relationships with vendors, business leaders, and other key stakeholders in support of program success.
  • Oversees vendor selection, negotiations, issues resolution, and ongoing relationship management for assigned initiatives.
