A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. As a Cost Program Manager within the Product Cost and Intelligence team, you will serve as the "Intelligent Core" of the Devices and Services group. You will lead the definition and deployment of a robust "should cost" framework, partnering closely with Global Supply Managers, Engineers, and Product Leads to define project scope, deliverable timelines, and process governance. In this Program Management role, you will define and execute our cost strategy, establishing a credible, defensible cost floor. You will have a deep engineering mindset who refuses to accept box pricing and possesses the technical curiosity to ask the hard "why" questions. You will scope ambiguous challenges, align executive stakeholders, and drive the cost strategy. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
