As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Supplier Performance and Optimization (SPO) is a team within Cloud Supply Chain and Operations (CSCO) indirect category management, tasked with establishing and embedding a framework for how Cloud Supply Chain and Operations strategically manages its key supplier relationships and monitors their performance. The team's objective is to move beyond tactical interactions to build true partnerships that drive innovation, mitigate risk, and deliver sustained value. They will achieve this by implementing standardized supplier relationship management processes, performance management systems, clear supplier segmentation, integration with operations, and governance. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in designing and implementing supplier relationship management frameworks, performance management systems, and supplier segmentation strategies.
  • Experience in supplier relationship management, supplier performance management, sourcing, or category management.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with SRM and supplier performance management software/tools.
  • Experience in managing relationships with strategic suppliers and conducting executive-level business reviews.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and develop insights.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across different levels and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and deploy a comprehensive framework and playbook applicable across all indirect categories, defining tiers of engagement, governance structures, and interaction models.
  • Work with operations enablement to deploy standardized supplier performance management systems, including the development of balanced scorecards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and service level agreements (SLAs), translating commercial positions to operational service levels.
  • Develop and implement a supplier risk management program, including methodologies for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating various types of supplier risk (e.g., financial, operational, reputational, compliance), for category managers to use to monitor supplier-level risk.
  • Act as the central point of governance for processes, ensuring adherence to the established framework.
