About The Position

Join the Transportation Engineering Systems (TESS) team where you'll directly influence how Amazon's transportation network operates at scale. As a Program Manager, you'll bridge business strategy and technical systems, working with data scientists and engineers to configure and optimize transportation networks that deliver for millions of customers daily. This role offers the opportunity to drive data-driven decision-making across multiple organizations while building analytics capabilities that shape the future of Amazon's logistics operations. TESS manages transportation network configuration by partnering with internal stakeholders and systems to deliver measurable business outcomes. You'll work at the intersection of business and technology, gathering customer insights, mining large datasets, and translating complex requirements into system improvements that directly impact Amazon's transportation strategy. You'll start your day reviewing dashboards and metrics that track transportation network performance, identifying opportunities for optimization. You'll collaborate with Business Analysts and Business Intelligence Engineers to extract insights from large datasets, then translate those findings into actionable recommendations for leadership. Throughout the day, you'll facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams—from operations managers to software engineers—ensuring alignment on priorities and removing roadblocks. You'll work autonomously to solve ambiguous problems, whether that's defining requirements for a new system feature or analyzing why a particular network configuration isn't performing as expected. Your work directly influences decisions about how Amazon moves packages from fulfillment centers to customers' doorsteps. The Transportation Engineering Systems (TESS) team sits at the critical intersection of Amazon's business operations and technical infrastructure. We're responsible for configuring and optimizing the transportation network that powers Amazon's logistics operations globally. Our team culture values data-driven decision-making, customer obsession, and innovative problem-solving.
