Job Summary: Working at the direction of the VP General Counsel / Compliance Officer, provides strategic and tactical regulatory and operational compliance support in a consultative capacity to global employees in multiple levels throughout the organization. Supports the global organization by driving compliance standards, conducting audits, conducting investigations, as well as implementing and administering related training. Liaises with other functions to advise on best practices and triage emerging situations, consistent with guidance provided by the company’s in-house counsel. Manages and supports a team of compliance professionals. At Chesterton, we have a laser-focus on the customer. Job Model: Hybrid Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of corporate operations or compliance experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational processes
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information
  • Understanding of and ability to assemble investigatory reports
  • Strong demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence diverse stakeholders

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or sales environment desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manages regulatory compliance team, which may consist of compliance subject matter experts and/or regional compliance specialists.
  • Works cross-functionally to develop and ensure implementation of operational regulatory compliance & legal risk management standards globally, with support from the regulatory compliance team and in-house counsel.
  • Working with in-house counsel and compliance specialists, identifies global compliance/legal risk-management requirements and priorities for implementation.
  • Act as an advisor on compliance culture and compliance concerns.
  • Develop and implement global compliance communications and collateral material in print and multimedia forms.
  • Working with VP General Counsel and subject-matter experts, develop and implement appropriate compliance trainings.
  • Conduct investigations into complaints or concerns. Report outcome to the VP General Counsel and/or other leaders as directed.
  • Serve as one of the initial escalation points for compliance questions.
  • Promote integrity and collaborative working relationships in furtherance of Chesterton’s Core Values.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, elevating them to the VP General Counsel for focus. Implement agreed-upon improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business functions to ensure Compliance culture is integrated into business practices and appropriate communication channels are used.
  • Identify and elevate potential compliance concerns to the VP General Counsel or other in-house counsel.
