The Program Manager for the Vietnam Executive Leadership Program (VELP) will oversee the daily operations of the program, which is a collaborative initiative between Columbia University and Fulbright University Vietnam. This role involves managing high-level policy dialogues, international delegations, and financial operations while ensuring compliance with university policies. The position also includes responsibilities in publicity, communications, and academic collaboration, making it integral to the success of VELP in addressing significant socio-economic trends and policy challenges in Vietnam.

  • Oversee the general administration of the Vietnam Executive Leadership Program, ensuring compliance with University and Institute policies.
  • Develop strategic and operational goals in collaboration with the Directors.
  • Design and deliver semi-annual high-level policy dialogues involving senior government officials and private sector leaders.
  • Organize quarterly international trips for delegations of CU faculty and researchers to Vietnam and vice versa.
  • Plan and execute monthly meetings to promote dialogue and idea exchange.
  • Create and track grant budget proposals and submit annual grant narratives and financial reports.
  • Prepare regular program financial reporting and support directors in donor management.
  • Maintain a robust communications presence on digital and print platforms, managing the VELP website and social media content.
  • Monitor the Program's PR strategy and budget, ensuring alignment with the University's PR policies.
  • Draft remarks and communications for the Program Director and oversee the content and design of public materials.
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of related work experience.
  • Proven expertise in event and program management.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken Vietnamese.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Prior experience working in Vietnam or with Vietnamese entities.
  • Prior experience in government relations or higher education administration.
  • Salary range of $90,000 - $100,000 based on qualifications and experience.
