About The Position

The Baylor Angel Network (BAN) is seeking a Program Manager who is entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and highly organized to join their team. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a hands-on role within an angel network dedicated to providing experiential education opportunities for students at Baylor University. The Program Manager will play a crucial role in sourcing and assessing entrepreneurial ventures that are raising angel or venture capital, and will be expected to attend and engage with various startup events throughout Texas, which may require some travel to other cities for incubators, accelerator programs, pitch competitions, and other related events. In this role, the Program Manager will help build a pipeline of target companies and key innovation trends, fostering relationships with peer angel groups, venture capitalists, and operating companies. The responsibilities will include screening investment opportunities, assisting with the diligence process and analysis, and managing program support. This includes executing communication strategies, organizing quarterly presentation meetings that connect investors with entrepreneurs, and maintaining organized records of BAN members and their associated donations. The Program Manager will also coordinate engagement activities such as social, educational, and outreach events, and will be involved in recruiting prospective BAN members, investors, and advisors. Additionally, the Program Manager will monitor the BAN investment portfolio, tracking qualitative and financial performance, and will engage with Baylor University stakeholders to expand the network's presence and impact. There is also potential for the Program Manager to coach and mentor BAN student analysts, providing feedback on their work during the screening cycle of company evaluations. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is a full-time role set to begin in August 2024.
