About The Position

Under the supervision of the Family Medicine Residency Program (FMRP) Senior Program Manager (SPM), the Program Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of FMRP curriculum and rotation implementation. The Program Manager works with medical residency program stakeholders to ensure its alignment with the program’s mission and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) standards. This is a full time, exempt, benefit eligible position in Richmond, CA. LifeLong Medical Care is a multi-site, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a rich history of providing innovative healthcare and social services to a wonderfully diverse patient community.   • 3+ years of experience in healthcare, graduate medical education, and/or adult education curriculum development.
  • Program or project manager or equivalent experience desired.

  • Master’s of Public Health, Education or Public Administration degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate the Program Coordinator and Program Scheduler for the Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • In collaboration with the elective curriculum director, Oversee the lifecycle of the elective planning process for all trainees
  • Initiate and manage Program Letters of Agreement (PLAs) for required and elective experiences
  • Work closely with program scheduler to ensure resident and faculty schedules align with requirements, time is accurately tracked and communicated to relevant partners.
  • Work closely with the program coordinator to provide oversight of external partner onboarding, rotation communications, evaluations and schedules
  • Liaise with curriculum directors to develop, document and maintain learning goals and objectives as well as evaluation tools for each curriculum. Support rotation schedule development with internal and external partners.
  • Manage and maintain trainee files and resident education portfolios, including tracking progress, assessments, and ensuring compliance with individual learning objectives
  • Oversee administrative functions related to onboarding, licensure, certification, and credentialing of residents to ensure smooth program operations.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation for newly matched residents
  • Create and use detailed work plans, project timelines, and perform continuous process improvement.
  • Provide cross coverage for administrative team members during leaves of absence
  • Support events, special projects and other FMRP functions, as needed
