Praescient Analytics is actively seeking an experienced AWS Technical Project Manager to support a current contract with the Department of Justice. The individual will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of AWS cloud-based projects in support of the Department's mission. This role ensures that project goals are achieved on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining compliance with federal IT and cloud governance standards, including FedRAMP, NIST, and DOJ-specific frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess both strong technical acumen and project management expertise in complex cloud and AI/ML environments.

  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams composed of cloud engineers, architects, and cybersecurity professionals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, risk management strategies, and stakeholder communication plans.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between government stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables using tools such as Jira, Excel, and AWS-native services like AWS CloudWatch dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal cloud standards and policies, including ATO processes, NIST guidelines, and DOJ-specific cloud governance.
  • Support technical execution by guiding engineering staff on tasks, communicating technical details with stakeholders, and aligning customer requirements with proposed AWS solutions.
  • Lead and support advanced cloud initiatives including AI/ML platforms and Generative AI solutions, integrating Machine Learning and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technologies.
  • Master's degree in Management of Information Technology (MIT), Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Cloud-based certifications are preferred.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years managing AWS cloud projects.
  • 10+ years of lead engineering experience in information technology.
  • 2+ years of Agile coaching experience, including leading PI Planning (Program Increment Planning) for large-scale technology platforms.
  • 2+ years leading cloud and data architecture teams, including deployments of AI/ML and Generative AI platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams in cloud and/or hybrid-cloud environments.
