About The Position

Reporting directly to the CIO, the Program Manager serves as a key strategic partner driving enterprise-wide initiatives across Accounting, Tax, Audit, Advisory, Finance, and Operations. Operating at the intersection of business goals, user experience, and technology, this leader translates firm strategy into structured, measurable delivery programs. By combining technical acumen with deep business insight, you will champion digital transformation, AI-enabled innovation, and enterprise platform optimization. This role requires a dynamic leader who can seamlessly blend high-level portfolio governance and continuous improvement with hands-on, cross-departmental execution.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in Project/Program Management
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting firm.
  • Proven ability to switch contexts between high-level strategy and low-level execution.
  • Deep administrative expertise in at least one major PPM tool (e.g., Microsoft Project Online, Asana, Monday.com, or Trello).
  • PMP Certification (preferred) or equivalent experience with both Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and Waterfall methodologies or other relevant Program Manager experience
  • Education: 4 Year College Degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and familiarity with Monday.com, Zendesk, G-Suite, and M365
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and technical staff about API integrations, technical debt, and cloud infrastructure
  • Familiarity with Identity Management projects (Okta, Microsoft Entra) is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CIO on enterprise roadmap execution
  • Assist the CIO in driving the strategic plan forward
  • Translate firm objectives into prioritized, executable program-project portfolios
  • Develop executive dashboards, portfolio reporting, and presentations
  • Align initiatives with revenue growth, operational efficiency, compliance, and client experience objectives
  • Support long-term technology and operational planning cycles
  • Own the execution of multi-department initiatives, acting as a hands-on project manager for critical short-term projects while laying the foundation for the broader portfolio strategy
  • Define program governance structures and processes
  • Enforce milestone discipline and scope control
  • Resolve cross-functional execution conflicts
  • Escalate delivery risks or misalignment
  • Establish and maintain a centralized enterprise portfolio view that provides firm leadership with total visibility into all Work in Progress (WIP) across the technology landscape
  • Develop integrated master plans with clear dependencies and critical paths
  • Implement structured intake, prioritization, and approval processes. In the short term, heavily drive the business analysis phase—gathering rigorous business requirements prior to project execution or tool selection to enforce a "look before you leap" discipline
  • Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
  • Lead recovery planning for off-track initiatives
  • Enforce structured change management and benefits realization tracking
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a standardized Project Management tool for the enterprise
  • Driving integration and process optimization across platforms including the selected project management tool to a work in process system.
  • Ensuring systems support scalability, compliance, and performance
  • Monitoring adoption, utilization, and measurable ROI
  • Eliminating redundant systems and shadow initiatives
  • Establish firm-wide project and portfolio management standards
  • Evaluate delivery methodologies and introduce scalable improvements
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and automation opportunities
  • Benchmark best practices within professional services
  • Embed measurable KPIs into operational processes
  • Evaluate Portfolio staffing requirements
  • Manage project forecasts, and track return on investment (ROI)
  • Partner closely with existing IT leaders and other firm leaders to forecast team availability, manage resource allocation, and balance workloads across projects.
  • Identify cost optimization and licensing rationalization opportunities
  • Improve forecast accuracy and delivery reliability
  • Maintain enterprise risk visibility across initiatives
  • Ensure alignment with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards
  • Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams for audit readiness
  • Develop mitigation strategies for operational and technology risks
  • Drive excellent firm communication including training strategies to drive user adoption
  • Lead enterprise change initiatives tied to system and process improvements
  • Develop communication strategies aligned with partner-driven culture
  • Drive adoption through structured rollout and performance metrics
  • Influence senior leaders through data-driven insights
  • Build trust while maintaining governance discipline
