About The Position

The Program Manager will work with the Deputy Director of Advanced Capital Planning to support the Sponsor agencies in planning their capital needs and address Citywide strategic goals for public buildings, including, but not limited to: Building Conditions, Accessibility, Coastal and stormwater resiliency, Energy use reduction and decarbonization. Duties include liaising and coordinating between technical teams, program teams, and sponsor agencies to assist with early capital strategic planning and supporting them on informative decision making. Coordinate and develop an understanding of each agency's programming, long term goals, and capital needs for their portfolio, and citywide initiatives for sustainability and resiliency as a result of technical analysis provided, and coordinate with program unit staff to advise them in the preparation of future funding requests. Perform post-occupancy Evaluations (POEs) and surveys, which solicit feedback and lessons learned from end users of recently completed projects. POEs also include analysis on building operations, maintenance, energy and water use, user satisfaction, and many additional factors that will inform future project needs.

Requirements

  • A valid New York State Registration as an Architect is required.
  • Six (6) years of full-time paid experience in architectural work.
  • At least two (2) years of experience as an administrative architect.

Nice To Haves

  • Thorough understanding of current architectural/engineering design principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of the NYC Building Codes and NYC Energy Code.
  • Excellent management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Prior experience in a managerial, administrative, or supervisory position.
  • AutoCAD required, BIM preferred, LEED AP preferred.
  • A valid motor vehicle driver's license.
