The Program Manager at The People Concern will play a crucial role in overseeing the Interim Housing Program located at the Cloverfield Services Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is responsible for the administrative oversight and supervision of line staff, including Support Specialists and a Safety Engagement Specialist. The Program Manager will ensure that the program operates efficiently and effectively, maintaining the highest quality of services while fostering teamwork among staff. The selected candidate will work a full-time schedule from Wednesday to Sunday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with the flexibility to adjust their schedule to accommodate staff working swing and overnight shifts during weekdays and weekends. In this role, the Program Manager will develop effective relationships with clients using a client-centered approach that incorporates motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care principles. They will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and substance addiction. The Program Manager will also provide guidance to staff, ensuring they implement appropriate interventions to reduce barriers and promote critical thinking among team members. The responsibilities include managing client grievances, ensuring timely resolution of complaints, and overseeing the daily operations of the shelter. The Program Manager will work closely with the Director to maintain a safe and well-maintained physical site, manage the intake process, and ensure compliance with documentation standards. They will also facilitate weekly case conferencing, complete performance evaluations for direct reports, and communicate effectively with management, peers, and funders. The role requires a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to agency policies and procedures while incorporating life skills programming into the program design.
