About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a bright and highly motivated Program Management Director for employment in our New York, NY office. As the Program Management Director serves as the Owner's advisor and representative throughout the delivery of the design-build program. Ensures that the Owner's objectives are met by providing independent oversight of the design-builder, and guidance and management of the consultant team while safeguarding the Owner and stakeholder interests from planning through closeout.

Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Ten years of experience in program or project management of large-scale design-build or capital projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in owner's representation, program management consulting, or advisory services.
  • Strong knowledge of design-build delivery, project controls, and contract administration.
  • Experience managing and coordinating large interdisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Professional certifications (PMP, DBIA, PE, AIA, or CCM) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and program-level management for multiple design-build projects.
  • Represent the Owner in all phases of the design-build process, acting as liaison with design-builder and program stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on program performance, including cost, schedule, risk, and quality metrics.
  • Review design and construction documents to ensure alignment with Owner's requirements, basis of design, and AHJ regulations and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the design-builder to identify opportunities for process improvement, value engineering, and innovation in the design-build delivery process.
  • Manage and facilitate stakeholder engagement through regular communication, progress reporting, and presentations.
  • Provide independent review of design modification requests.
  • Ensure proper project closeout, commissioning, and handover to Owner operations.
