About The Position

The Program Management Associate, AFMDSS will primarily support program management and capture execution across the portfolio of AFMDSS programs in the areas of project schedule tracking and projections, coordination with Finance to track and project financials, coordination with Contracts to track and manage deliverables, proposal management, and CRM data analytics. Design, develop, and enhancement engineering solutions for challenging problems. Implement, test, perform analysis, and provide documentation support. Generate and present test reports including plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions from data collected and analyzed throughout the test process. Complete assignments designed to develop a practical knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, facilities, and systems as well as their interrelationships within engineering disciplines. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++ or other related tools.
• Proficient in basic software development standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Foundational knowledge of autonomy, guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) technology.
• Knowledge of real-time software development tools.
• Knowledge of project execution, designing, developing, and validating real-time algorithms and software.
• Strong background in control systems theory.
• Contributes content for technical reports and presentations with appropriate guidance.
• Written and verbal communication is clear and concise.
• Participates in tag-ups and informal meetings with group leads and colleagues.
• Derives task-level or component-level requirements from system requirements.
• Clearly communicates work assignments to team members.
• Tracks priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.
• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 3-5 years of Software Engineering or related experience is required.
• Enrolled in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Business, Finance, Engineering, Math, or Physics student with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Excellent written and verbal communications, presentations skills, organizational and time management skills.
• Candidate must be able to clearly present ideas to leadership, peers, staff, and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AFMDSS missions
• Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Masters or PhD in a related field is preferred.
• Secret clearance preferred
