About The Position

AFWERX is seeking a Program Management Analyst to serve as the RGOS Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) Program Management Analyst. This role involves managing the acquisition, use, production, and distribution of scientific and technical information, establishing local STINFO policy, and ensuring compliance with higher headquarters policy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in program management, preferably within a military or government context
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of scientific and technical information management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools (Google Workspace)
  • Flexibility to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in related field

Responsibilities

  • Manage the acquisition flow, use, production, and distribution of scientific and technical information
  • Establish and monitor compliance with STINFO policy and procedures
  • Serve as the director's advisor on STINFO program issues
  • Collect, process, disseminate, and apply scientific and technological information
  • Develop and improve information handling procedures
  • Maintain inventory of scientific and technical information
  • Draft regulations, supplements, standards, and directives
  • Track and audit STINFO management practices
  • Plan and direct the technical publications program
  • Manage STINFO databases and ensure timely transmission to DTIC
  • Produce accurate reports based on STINFO data
  • Develop systems to handle technical information and support customers
  • Ensure proper marking and submission of STINFO documents
  • Provide training and briefings on STINFO program requirements
  • Promote the STINFO program through electronic bulletin boards and other means
  • Assist database users in performing data searches and preparing reports
