About The Position

The Program Integrity Director at the Virginia Department of Social Services is responsible for overseeing the agency's Program Integrity Unit, focusing on the detection, deterrence, and prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse within social services programs. Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in fraud detection and prevention in social services programs.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to social services programs, including SNAP and TANF.
• Demonstrated knowledge of investigative and compliance best practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex state and federal regulations and procedures.
• Experience in statistical analysis and preparing comprehensive reports.

Nice To Haves

• Professional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
• Knowledge of social services programs, policies, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the agency's Program Integrity Unit as part of the Compliance Division's Management Team.
• Oversee efforts related to the detection, deterrence, and prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse.
• Ensure rigorous oversight and effective management of compliance and investigative activities.
• Collaborate with divisions within VDSS to promote program integrity and compliance.
• Support Local Departments of Social Services (LDSS) in fraud management through training and prosecution assistance.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
