About The Position

Present materials and facilitate Erosion and Stormwater Management Program Certification classes. In class content is to be developed from the presenters' own experience. Construction sites, municipalities, and industrial facilities are subject to National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations. The program offers comprehensive training for designers, inspectors, contractors, and other staff involved with these sites and regulations.

Requirements

BA/BS in relevant field (such as Biosystems Engineering, Water Resources, Ecology, Civil Engineering) plus at least 10 years of related professional experience, or a MS degree plus 8 years of experience or terminal degree with 6 years of experience along with a proven ability to perform job
Knowledge of principles and methods
Prior experience conducting Erosion and Stormwater Management Program Certification classes
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software with Microsoft Office and Google applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Sheets)
Must be able to lift twenty pounds

Experience with website maintenance
Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and/or confidential information

Demonstrated experience using InDesign software

Responsibilities

instruct content at workshops, to include: developing class content
facilitating exercises, registration, audio visual equipment set up, and exam administration
picking up and returning materials and equipment to the University of Minnesota.
