Program Instructor - Adult Day Program (DSP Services)
About The Position
The Arc of Ocean County is hiring Program Instructors to assist in delivering structured day program services that support individuals with disabilities across Ocean County. This role helps create a supportive and engaging environment focused on skill-building, independence, and daily program participation. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available at our Lakewood location. Description The Arc of Ocean County Chapter is currently hiring Program Instructors to work within vocational day services, including Employment Centers and Adult Training Programs located throughout Ocean County. These programs support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a structured, supervised setting focused on skill development and daily engagement.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a Valid NJ Driver’s License with no more than five points, comfortable driving a 10-12 passenger vehicle
- At least one year of longevity with a previous employer
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Responsibilities
- providing hands-on support with daily living activities
- assisting individuals with personal care needs such as hygiene and medication support when required
- helping with day-to-day tasks that promote independence
- support transportation to community-based outings
- complete required electronic documentation
- contribute to the overall success of program activities
