About The Position

Join our team on the Human Health and Performance Contract at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX, where we safeguard astronaut health, ensure human performance, and advance technologies for human space exploration. As a Program Human Systems Integrator, you will support the JSC Health and Medical Technical Authority (HMTA) in executing governance for human spaceflight programs, ensuring compliance with NASA standards (NASA-STD-3001) and advancing human systems integration strategies. What You’ll Do: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for HMTA standards and commercial vendor implementation. Identify, communicate, and coordinate discussions on Human Health and Performance (HHP) issues impacting human spaceflight programs (e.g., HLS, Gateway, CLDP). Participate in meetings, proactively screen agendas, engage appropriate HHP representatives/SMEs, take notes, and communicate relevant information to the HMTA/HHP team. Coordinate with HMTA, HHP management, technical SMEs, program personnel, and commercial vendors. Participate in program document and design reviews, streamline processes, and address issues impacting task completion. Attend HMTA, NASA Human Spaceflight Program, HHP, and internal team meetings; develop and deliver presentations as needed. What You Bring: Experience collaborating and coordinating with multi-disciplined teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of (or ability to quickly learn) human spaceflight standards and disciplines. Ability to engage stakeholders proactively and represent SME expertise effectively.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently and guide discussions in meetings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including delivering presentations and writing reports.
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of NASA’s Human System Standards (e.g., NASA-STD-3001) and Human Health and Performance disciplines is highly desired.
  • Experience with human systems requirements and verification in human spaceflight vehicle design and/or NASA Technical Authority is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with NASA spaceflight operations and expert knowledge of NASA Human Spaceflight Programs is highly desired.
  • Experience writing, decomposing, and tailoring human systems design and verification statements is desired.
  • Familiarity with human factors activities such as human-in-the-loop tests and task analyses is desired.
