About The Position

The Program Financial Analyst position at Eaton's IS AER FED division is a hybrid role focused on supporting the financial activities of Program Management and Engineering functions. The analyst will be responsible for financial measurement and reporting, contract accounting, and business partnering to analyze cost drivers and spending activities for strategic development programs and R&D investments. This role requires collaboration with program managers and engineering teams to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and forecasting of program expenses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Cost Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Finance experience.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA/CPA/CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Cost Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Finance experience preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise in US GAAP/IAS accounting and finance for commercial/government contracts.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing multiple projects.
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting systems including ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and communicate program management spend and interpret variances from plan, forecast, or baseline targets.
  • Prepare monthly reports on major programs, including updates on IRR, NPV, shipset cost, and spending variance analysis.
  • Business partner with program managers to control costs, maximize revenue from scope changes, and ensure timely milestone invoicing.
  • Complete Estimate to Complete calculations (ETC) as required by contracts and ensure management approval.
  • Participate in pro-launch processes and support gate reviews with necessary financial analysis.
  • Assist in preparing strategic plans, annual profit plans, and monthly rolling forecasts for major programs and Gross R&D budget.
  • Support proposal management by developing financial analysis for new program business proposals and capital investments.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation plans in collaboration with Engineering and Program Management.
  • Implement improvements to PMO processes through active participation in cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) support for accurate project spend reporting and forecasting.
