About the position

As a Program Finance Specialist at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you'll prepare ad-hoc analyses to support contract and program analysts and special projects as assigned. Utilizing your arsenal of skills and talents, you'll review/approve purchase requisitions for budgeted expenses up to authorized limit and ensure that expenses are applied correctly. We will rely on you to analyze financial performance for assigned program(s) to identify and report on risk and funding issues. You will also manage program financials for contracts of low complexity (predominately cost plus contracts and/or standard products), engaging directly with program management to understand financial performance and mitigate program and contractual risks. This position is 100% ON-SITE in Marion, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses to support contract and program analysts and special projects.
  • Review/approve purchase requisitions for budgeted expenses up to authorized limit.
  • Ensure that expenses are applied correctly.
  • Analyze financial performance for assigned program(s) to identify and report on risk and funding issues.
  • Manage program financials for contracts of low complexity, engaging directly with program management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Excel experience (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros, etc.) is required.
  • Ability to analyze data and reconcile financial accounts.
  • Knowledge of Truth In Negotiations Act, Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulation, government accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Revenue Recognition ASC 606.
  • Outstanding time-management skills to meet multiple deadlines for various stakeholders.
