About The Position

The position works both independent and within a team, often under tight deadlines responding to the incidents and recommendations for quality improvement and implementation of Policies and compliance measures. The ability to be proactive and exercise sensitivity and confidentiality as this position can have an adverse impact on the Individuals that we support, the well-being of staff and compromise our regulatory agreement(s) with the States of Pennsylvania and Delaware. The position will support Investigations and Quality Management initiatives/projects that ensure quality measures, the safety and well-being of the Individuals that we support and the staff that we employ. The position works as a member of a team and impacts the furthering of CI's Mission ensuring we meet and exceed compliance benchmarks and operate under our regulatory measures. Responsible to review incident reports, conduct investigations, participate and report findings at the organization's Administrative Review Committee, input and monitor Therap's General Event Records to verify proper documentation, reporting and resolution. May conduct incident/investigation follow up as required or requested by Quality Management/Incident Management and report on the implementation of findings and recommendations. Will prepare root cause analysis of causal factors to prevent future incidents. Conduct certified investigations. Summarize investigation and incident reports for trend studies and analysis. Participates in the Administrative Review Committee as the assigned Investigator for review and analysis of the investigation findings. Tracks and follows up with Plans and Recommendations to include Special Projects, Corrective Action Plans and Quality Assurance Checks for all homes assigned Quality Assurance/Insurance non-compliance concerns Implementation Plans and completes internal Quality Management Tools after each visit to our Programs.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred in Business Administration, Management, Health or Human Services.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written and platform).
  • Ability to interact with employees, supported Individuals, Management and various Regulatory Agencies.
  • Must successfully complete the ODP course to become a state certified investigator within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Excellent organizational skills, quantitative, analytical and computer skills.
  • Strong data entry skills to input incident reports with accuracy.
  • Ability to perform filing and data entry on a daily basis.
  • Strong presentation skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
