About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and working closely with Senior Leadership, the Program Enhancement Coordinator (PEC) helps advance IAHD’s strategic vision by coordinating special projects, programs, and organizational initiatives. This role focuses on implementing approved initiatives, tracking outcomes, and ensuring effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders. The Program Enhancement Coordinator also provides administrative and project support to the COO, helps foster community partnerships, identifies grant opportunities, and supports IAHD’s Dynamic Arts Gallery programming and digital presence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing project management, creative programming, and executive coordination while contributing to mission-driven work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Mental Health, Creative Arts Therapy, or a related field required
  • 3–5 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or supervisory roles in human services or nonprofit settings
  • Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities strongly preferred
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with leadership, staff, families, and community partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to analyze information and present recommendations to leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional licensure preferred (LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, or similar)
  • Experience with creative and digital platforms such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Stripe, website management, or social media tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects, proposals, and organizational initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison between internal operations teams and external partners to support program development and collaboration
  • Conduct research on potential program opportunities, including community needs, feasibility, regulatory requirements, and best practices
  • Assist Operations leadership in planning and executing program-related events and activities
  • Support the development of innovative programming opportunities within Day Programs
  • Provide oversight and coordination for the Dynamic Arts Gallery and related creative arts programming
  • Supervise the Creative Arts Coordinator and provide guidance on programming and initiatives
  • Explore and integrate creative and therapeutic programming that enhances participant engagement and well-being
  • Coordinate meetings, track project progress, and ensure timelines are met for special initiatives
  • Identify and assist with securing grant opportunities to support program growth and innovation
  • Provide administrative and project coordination support to the COO, including managing priorities and tracking assignments
  • Manage communications including emails, calls, and correspondence to ensure timely responses
  • Maintain staff records for those reporting directly to the COO, including time worked and time off
  • Provide regular updates to the COO on project progress, timelines, and emerging issues
  • Maintain and update the Dynamic Arts Gallery website and social media platforms
  • Represent IAHD professionally at meetings, events, and community initiatives
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
