Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. Carbon Brake manufacturing is a unique process. There are only a handful of these manufacturing sites around the world. Our brakes are used to stop commercial aircraft every day. The manufacturing of the carbon-carbon disks begins with raw material and leaves our plant as a fully completed product. All manufacturing test and research is completed in house. The intern will have a chance to solve real world problems and experiment with in process changes with measurable impacts. This position is for an Program Engineering Intern with a passion to learn about and gain experience in the Carbon Brake Manufacturing Industry. This role is onsite, in Pueblo, CO. This role may be eligible for relocation.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Engineering intern experience.
  • Experience with minitab, Solidworks, NX, SQL.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Support lead/engineers with Carbon processing engineering projects.
  • Help with product performance troubleshooting and root cause identification activities.
  • Support current production issues if the need arises.
  • Perform material analyses that include, but are not limited to, failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications.
