About The Position

MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER , Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning, will lead deploying machine learning models developed in our labs; collaborate with researchers to improve novel algorithms; customize models for industry and healthcare partners; drive open-source software efforts; contribute to grant proposals, academic papers, and reports; and ensure seamless integration of AI technologies in diagnostics, treatment personalization, and outcome prediction.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of software engineering experience in ML/AI projects
• Strong Python programming skills
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch)
• Experience with model deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar
• Excellent communication ability to convey complex technical work to non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

• Experience with MLOps tools/practices (monitoring models, handling model drift, continuous integration/continuous deployment)
• Domain familiarity in biotech, computational biology, medical imaging, drug discovery
• Experience with geometric deep learning
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
