Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee development and implementation of marketing campaigns for the Public Utilities Department (PUD).
  • Assist with communication requirements for regulatory items from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division and Environmental Protection Agency.
  • Develop print and digital marketing materials for the PUD, including newsletters, bill inserts, flyers, and social media content.
  • Provide graphic design and copy-editing services for PUD projects.
  • Research, write, and develop content for webpages and electronic communications to engage audiences.
  • Coordinate with PUD divisions and the Communications Department to ensure accurate information on division webpages.
  • Conduct website content audits and optimize for SEO strategies.
  • Create and maintain a cohesive content strategy aligned with PUD's strategic goals.
  • Assist with public education and promotional materials to increase engagement and promote water efficiency.
  • Collaborate with local organizations for special events and joint-education programs.
  • Use software like Adobe Suite and Canva for promotional materials.
  • Implement strategies to grow social media followers and web traffic.
  • Ensure website and social media accessibility compliance.
  • Work with the Senior Water Resources Planner to create marketing strategies for the recycled water program.
  • Prepare and distribute a quarterly electronic employee newsletter.
  • Assist in preparing budget proposals for programs and events.
  • Manage customer inquiries and feedback regarding PUD services.
  • Identify opportunities to reach marginalized communities with PUD messaging.
  • Attend conferences and workshops to stay updated on water industry developments.
