The Sierra Pre Trial Program offers outpatient competency restoration assessments, individual and group clinical services for adult, justice-involved males with a primary mental health diagnosis in a community-based, congregate living setting. Residents typically stay for 3 to 6 months, receiving psychoeducational and skill-building services to aid their re-entry into the community post-incarceration. The program aims to reduce recidivism by fostering positive behavioral change and prosocial community connections, and also provides referrals for employment, housing, and educational services. The Program Director will be responsible for direct clinical and task supervision of the Clinical Manager, Clinician, and direct care staff. Key areas of focus include program operations and development, as well as collaborating with funders, referring agents, medical, and clinical providers to establish comprehensive wrap-around services designed to reduce recidivism among the justice-involved population. The role includes on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, clear and effective communication, high motivation, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a trauma-informed environment. Essential experience includes working with individuals living with mental illness, with a strong preference for experience in residential or congregate care settings.
