Position Summary The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the program, supervising assigned staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents. This role serves as a liaison between internal departments and external agencies, ensuring program compliance, safety, and effective service delivery.

Requirements

  • BA Degree in Human Services, Social Work or related social service field preferred.
  • Associate degree or seven (7) years of supervisory experience required .
  • Must be able to transport self to other locations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily program operations, including monitoring the physical environment and service delivery.
  • Provide direct supervision to Assistant Managers, Counselor Aides, and Client Coordinators, ensuring staff performance and development.
  • Monitor billing processes using internal and external systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts, including interviewing candidates and providing hiring recommendations.
  • Ensure resident safety by coordinating emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation procedures.
  • Conduct screenings for prospective residents, including off-site visits to hospitals or other facilities as needed.
  • Facilitate staff trainings on documentation, service planning, and best practices.
  • Provide crisis intervention and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Organize and lead staff meetings and resident community meetings to review program operations and address concerns.
  • Prepare payroll, including overtime justifications, and complete monthly program reports.
  • Review and approve program expenditures, including purchase requisitions, food orders, and petty cash usage.
  • Monitor and investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee facility maintenance needs and report any safety concerns.
  • Ensure staff compliance with required trainings and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with external service providers to enhance resident care and staff development.
  • Develop and implement tracking tools and processes to support regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with staff and leadership.
  • Oversee compliance with electronic records systems and documentation standards.
  • Support programming for individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders, including facilitating groups as needed.
  • Provide direct support in crisis situations, including physical intervention and administration of first aid when required.
  • Participate in program operations during staff shortages or absences.
  • Represent the program at meetings and trainings as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with agency policies.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between program sites as needed.
  • Operate an agency vehicle when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
