Gilead Community Services seeks a passionate and experienced professional to serve as Residential Program Director in our Farrell program. In this role, you’ll provide administrative oversight of our flagship Farrell Treatment Program, including personnel management and supervision of clinical services. Why This Role Matters For over 50 years, Gilead has delivered high-quality, person-centered services that support recovery, independence, and community integration. Unlike large healthcare systems, our work is grounded in real relationships. We know our clients by name and we put their needs first, even when the system doesn’t make that easy. This is rare opportunity to shape the future of Farrell as it grows to include a new level of care. You’ll guide it toward best practice while preserving its heart – providing the highest level of care to a high-acuity, high-need population that few others are willing or able to take on. How You’ll Make Your Impact Farrell is a cornerstone of our continuum of care, serving individuals with complex needs in a 24/7 residential setting. It’s fast-paced, high-intensity work, and this position is designed for someone who thrives in that environment and brings a sharp clinical lens, strong administrative skills, and deep compassion for the people we serve. Clinical Leadership & Service Delivery Provide clinical expertise in severe mental illness and substance use disorders delivered through supervision, staff training, education, and program development. Create, coordinate, and implement clinical services, including facilitation of program meetings and best‑practice models of care. Manage admissions, continued services, and discharge processes with attention to utilization and fiscal stability. Consult on medical and mental health needs with the Clinical Department Director for risk‑management considerations. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure the physical environment meets regulatory standards, maintaining a clean, safe setting. Monitor and maintain compliance with contractual and licensing requirements including DMHAS and CARF. Track and maintain outcome measures required by licensing and agency quality assurance processes. Provide timely and accurate reporting of required data to internal and external stakeholders. Implement and refine program policies and procedures to improve service delivery and compliance. Program Operations & Organizational Collaboration Lead program operations by coordinating daily functions aligned with regulatory and contractual expectations. Participate in leadership, clinical, and ad hoc work groups to advance program and organizational goals. Collaborate with Agency Leadership on new or revised programming aligned with Gilead’s mission and vision. Maintain awareness of state initiatives and treatment trends to inform program development and service quality. Respond to after‑hours calls on a rotating basis including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Coordinate with Administrative Support Staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory & Staff Development Responsibilities Oversee hiring, supervision, evaluation, and discipline of program staff in accordance with agency policies. Build and maintain positive employee relationships and fosters a supportive, satisfying work environment. Provide guidance and professional development support to supervisory and non‑supervisory employees. Supervise both management and non-management staff within the program. This Role Might Be for You If You/You’re: Have prior experience directing services in the mental health field: You’ve built deep expertise in addiction and mental health care, supervising teams and managing programs – and you’re ready to apply that experience to a high-impact, programmatic leadership role. Looking for a meaningful change from the corporate healthcare model: You’re ready to reconnect with the heart of addiction services work in setting where client care still (not just revenue targets) drives the work. Strong in the storm: You thrive in high-intensity, fast-moving settings. Whether it’s a regulatory visit, a staffing crisis, or a clinical emergency, you keep a level head and lead with purpose.
