About The Position

The Program Director of the Coastal LEAD Agency is a strategic, mission-driven leader responsible for overseeing all program operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with funding and regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for a collaborative, organized professional who thrives in a dynamic community-based environment who is familiar with the mission of The Department of Children and Families (DCF) as well as a strong working knowledge of local community resources.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Human Service field- License Required
  • 5 years of experience managing budgets
  • Clinical expertise in complex family systems
  • Participation in multidisciplinary teams and/or collaborative systems
  • Demonstrated prior experience of working with and understanding the vision, mission, and values of DCF
  • Knowledge of and the ability to assess child and adolescent treatment, family systems dynamics and treatment, strength-based/solution focused methodologies, behavioral interventions, substance abuse and intimate partner abuse, and crisis management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in child and family treatment (assessment, treatment planning, outcome measurement, with systemic, behavioral, and developmental focus)
  • Demonstrated competencies in the area of family systems, substance use disorders, and domestic violence
  • Broad-based knowledge of collaborative partnerships
  • Systems orientation with a proven ability to think and act under the guiding principles of family centered practice
  • Exceptional organizational and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate others and manage conflict
  • Capacity to work within the larger South Shore Area
  • Valid MA driver’s license acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
  • Acceptable background record check as required by program

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and resources for the Department of Children and Families (DCF) staff
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate program staff
  • Partnering and collaborating with Area DCF Coastal Area Office
  • Maintain policies and procedures for safety and well-being that are consistent with the standards of the Department
  • Ongoing communication with DCF teams to ensure that they have access to community and Lead Agency resources.
