About The Position

The Program Director is responsible for managerial, operational and administrative duties relating to the program and is the first point of contact in case of emergency situation. The Program Director must maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working hours other than regular work schedule and evenings, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related behavioral science and five years combined experience with troubled youth and supervisory skills.
  • Valid Georgia State Driver’s License, maintain current insurance and registration and clear driving record.
  • Clear result from a criminal background check by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.
  • Clear drug screen results from the organization’s designated medical facility.
  • Ability to assist with goal-oriented delivery of services.
  • Possess good verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and perform well in crisis situations.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all program staff, ensuring all daily contacts are made by assigned Youth Trackers.
  • Ensure all data is entered promptly into the Depart of Juvenile Justice’s Juvenile Tracking System (JTS) and Southwest Key Programs database, Efforts to Outcome (ETO).
  • Complete required documentation, including discharge information, for assigned youth in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work effectively with funding source to ensure program is operating with maximum client population levels.
  • Respond and document all crisis per SWK and DJJ Policy.
  • Maintain and monitor cleanliness, security and safety of facility.
  • Ensure program compliance with Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) contract, Southwest Key Employee Guidebook and Georgia Policy and Procedures Manual.
  • Notify program management staff immediately in the event of a client crisis, suspected illegal activity or any other client incident.
  • Ensure all staff meets required training within the required time frames.
  • Ensure all youth are successfully connected to global positioning satellite (GPS) monitoring device
  • Ensure timely assignment/un-assignment of GPS units in Veritracks system
  • Maintain and ensure accountability of all program GPS inventory
  • Ensure program is fiscally accountable.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • Coordinate and participate in all client activities and groups when necessary.
  • Provide daily contacts with youth as needed; subject to be on call and be available to provide staff assistance.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
