The Pediatric Residency Program currently trains approximately 200 residents with an intern class of about 60 residents, consisting of 42 categorical residents along with residents in highly competitive combined programs in Medicine-Pediatrics, Child Neurology, Pediatrics Medical Genetics, Triple Board (Psychiatry, Child Psychiatry, and Pediatrics), and Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R). The residency program has robust opportunities to support exposure and advanced skill development in advocacy, community health, global health, teaching, quality improvement, and research. Cincinnati Children's serves as the community hospital for all regional pediatric patients as well as global quaternary referrals, and training experiences range from the provision of primary pediatric care to management of patients with complex and subspecialty care needs.
