About The Position

The Program Director of the Women's College Partnerships (WCP) at Marian University is responsible for overseeing the operations of the program at the Indiana Women's Prison. This role aims to provide a stable and thriving college opportunity for incarcerated women, aligning with the university's Catholic Franciscan mission. The director will collaborate with various stakeholders, manage faculty and student affairs, and ensure the program's success through effective administration and strategic planning.

Requirements

• Master's level degree or beyond is required; preference for a terminal or professional doctorate.
• Demonstrated experience in program administration and funding management.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Women's College Partnerships program at the Indiana Women's Prison.
• Consult and collaborate with the WCP Steering Committee and Academic Administration on curricular development and faculty recruitment.
• Coordinate logistics with the Administration of the Indiana Women's Prison.
• Serve as a liaison between the Indiana Women's Prison, the Indiana Department of Corrections, WCP students, faculty, staff, and university administration.
• Engage with the Catholic Franciscan mission and model the university's values.
• Develop and improve curricular offerings for AA and BA degree programs in collaboration with university administration.
• Coordinate student advising and support, including financial aid roles.
• Manage all communications regarding academic standing and degree pursuit between students and faculty.
• Maintain professional relationships with IDOC and IWP staff, including training and necessary paperwork.
• Supervise all WCP hires and manage their roles within the program.
• Develop long-range vision and strategic plans for the WCP's success and stability.
• Coordinate reentry support for students pre-and post-release.
