About The Position

Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP), is a private, non-profit, social service agency which has been serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County area since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, and homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, health, and wellbeing for individuals and families in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity and respect. Jay Brothers Unified Resource Center (JBURC) and Community Center for Integrated Health are CARF accredited, and Department of Public Health licensed, co-occurring clinics providing outpatient substance use and mental health services in a trauma-informed environment to adult men and women. Located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the facilities accept men and women ages 18 and older with needs regarding substance use only, mental health issues only, or with co-occurring issues relating to both areas. SUMMARY: In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Department Head of Outpatient Services, the Senior Program Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple clinics and provides clinical and administrative supervision to the program staff.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in behavioral science and at least four (4) years of supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles or organizational function and administration of behavioral health services.
  • Experience with program development.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply management principles and techniques.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and supervisory ability.
  • Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Considerable knowledge in the practice of integrated models of assessment, intervention, and recovery.
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Some substance use experience preferred.
  • Spanish bilingual a plus.
  • Incumbents may be required to secure a clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in CT.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, coordinates, trains, and supervises staff in the day-to-day operations of the outpatient programs.
  • Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of weekly team meetings to promote collaborative teamwork, case conferencing, program development and an enhanced system of care.
  • Provides effective individual and group supervision sessions demonstrating a balance of support, accountability and professional growth; maintains a log documenting supervision sessions.
  • Ensures that reports are compiled, prepared, and submitted in a timely manner to funding sources and departments within RNP as necessary.
  • Manages staff productivity and ensures census growth.
  • Ensures contract compliance with funding sources and regulatory bodies.
  • May assist in budget preparation and monitoring of revenues and expenditures.
  • Assumes an active role in quality improvement meetings to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Collaborates with RNP managers and administrators to promote improved systems with IT, Operations, HR and Finance.
  • Professionally represents RNP in meetings with other community providers and markets outpatient services to increase census and access to care.
  • Knowledge of and ability to monitor compliance with current contracts and any new incoming contracts including but not limited to; Court Support Services Division (CSSD/CDCS), Enhanced Care Clinic (ECC) and Federal Probation.
  • Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
