The Program Director will lead the IIHS team, which provides supports to individuals with ID/DD and/or ABI diagnosis to live as independently as possible in the community. Ensuring high quality of services and implementing policies and procedures in alignment with the organizations strategic direction. Will be mission- focused, and lead in a creative, professional and team-oriented way.

  • Responsible for the oversight of In-Home Supports and DDS supplemental services that ensure functional, healthy, and person-centered services.
  • Provide input and assist in determining admission and discharge decisions regarding individuals utilizing programs/services.
  • Supervise Senior Case Managers and Rep Payee Assistant.
  • Provide status updates of caseloads and staff progress to Division Director, including monthly audits on site visit checklists.
  • Reconcile monetary accounts, billable hours and petty cash. Adhere to established budgets, oversee operational expenses.
  • Timely and accurate coding for services into electronic medical records system for billing purposes.
  • Supervise ISP process for all individuals served and HCSIS documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures that all documentation complies with agency, state and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with funding agencies.
  • Collaborate with the Division Director to create and execute program goals.
  • Participate in a 24 hour/365-day emergency response line.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, CORI and Federal Fingerprinting are required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field and a minimum of five years’ experience providing support to individuals served in IIHS services.
  • Working knowledge of IIHS standards as well as familiarity with funding agencies in the region and other referral / outreach locations.
  • Functional and situational reasoning ability to gather and apply factual information, exercise sound judgment, problem solve and apply principles of influence systems such as motivation, team building, accountability, coaching/counseling of staff and leadership within the scope of the position.
  • Cross-functional communication skills, which convey clear direction, desired results and vision to direct reports, individuals/families served, government agencies, community partners, funding sources, peers and senior management.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.
