Requirements

• Expertise in interpersonal and verbal presentation/written communication skills.
• Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting.
• Prior higher education/postsecondary related teaching experience of at least 2 years.
• A Bachelor degree in Dental Hygiene is required by accrediting and licensing agency standards, Master degree is highly desired.
• An active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia as per accreditation and state licensing standards.

Nice To Haves

• Master degree is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• managing the department using sound business principles
• ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation and company policies and procedures
• teaching in his/her assigned discipline
• working with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s)
• faculty training and development
• coordinating and administering the academic program(s)
• student outcomes and activities within the department
