The Jindal School of Management (JSOM) at the University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a dynamic, skilled, and forward-thinking Program Director for its innovative Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence program. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to shape and lead a high-impact academic program at the intersection of business, analytics, and technology, within a top-tier business school. In this role, the Program Director will be responsible for managing the student experience, ensuring program quality, leading academic initiatives, driving enrollment and rankings, and building industry connections.

  • Overseeing the student journey from admission to placement, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience.
  • Monitoring program performance, implementing best practices, and ensuring adherence to internal academic policies.
  • Serving as the liaison between students and faculty to create and lead initiatives that align with JSOM's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
  • Leading campaigns to improve enrollment numbers and program rankings, while refining student services and support.
  • Cultivating strong partnerships with organizations, employers, and industries to enhance student engagement and learning opportunities.
  • Developing innovative recruiting and orientation plans.
  • Tracking student admissions and developing yield strategies to increase enrollment.
  • Conducting competitive market analysis and enhancing program offerings to improve national rankings.
  • Managing AACSB assessments, exit surveys, and preparing related reports.
  • Overseeing the curriculum in consultation with faculty, identifying gaps, enhancing existing courses, adding new courses or certificates, and updating academic catalogs.
  • Collaborating with the Area Coordinator to develop and manage course scheduling.
  • Recruiting and interviewing adjunct faculty to teach courses in the program.
  • Managing program-related conferences, the Industry Advisory Board (IAB), and case competitions.
  • Developing and maintaining a social media presence, marketing brochures, orientation materials, info session presentations, and web content to enhance the program's marketability and visibility.
  • Developing programs, activities, and events to engage alumni, such as guest lectures, panel discussions, mentoring, resume reviews, and social events.
  • Advising students from entry to exit on various matters including admissions, scholarships, visa inquiries, program planning, mentoring, course selection, and internships.
  • Collaborating with the Advising Office to resolve student issues.
  • Conducting regular town hall or info sessions to answer students' questions.
  • Measuring, tracking, and providing program reports to the department and the Dean's office.
  • Managing student organizations and program ambassadors.
  • Planning and implementing mentoring programs for students.
  • Providing assistance to the department and the Dean's office with duties related to the design and management of program-related initiatives and projects.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years experience in a related field of expertise, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A graduate degree in a related field (e.g., MS in Information Technology, Business Analytics, Computer Science), or a graduate degree in higher education (e.g., Ed.D., Ph.D.).
  • Seven or more years of managerial experience in academic or professional settings, ideally within the fields of information technology, analytics, or artificial intelligence.
