The Program Development Coordinator for Student Involvement at Wheaton College provides essential administrative support to the Student Involvement office. This role involves overseeing various programs, managing office operations, and collaborating with student leaders and staff to enhance student engagement and involvement on campus. The position is part-time, requiring 30 hours per week during the academic year and 10 hours per week during the summer months.

  • Welcome guests/students to the office and provide a professional atmosphere.
  • Manage the SI calendars, key access, mail distribution, and equipment check-out.
  • Oversee office management, budget, finances, and student reimbursements.
  • Supervise student front desk staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies.
  • Monitor and manage office photocopiers and general-purpose photocopiers.
  • Manage petty cash and act as custodian of petty cash.
  • Organize student programming storage and event equipment.
  • Schedule room reservations for student leaders as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Student Engagement Program Manager on special projects.
  • Manage publicity and advertising guidelines for the Beamer Student Center.
  • Provide administrative support for Student Leader programming and budgets.
  • Host trainings for Student Involvement Student Leaders.
  • Manage online election procedures for Student Government and Interclass Council.
  • Assist in planning and executing events like the Senior Banquet and Racial and Cultural Minority Recognition Ceremony.
  • Oversee and support 40+ Student-Led Clubs, conducting monthly meetings and training.
  • Advise Student Government on club allocations and manage the Programming Guide.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various computer applications.
  • Personable disposition for interfacing with diverse individuals.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience in student affairs or higher education administration.
  • Familiarity with budget management and financial reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of event planning and execution.
  • Leadership training provided.
