About The Position

The Program Desk Attendant supports the mission-driven work of the YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch, which serves approximately 50,000 guests annually. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests and members at the Programs Office, assisting with program information, activity sign-ups, and enhancing the overall guest experience. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Current Adult and Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED certifications (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

  • Uphold the YMCA of the Rockies Mission, policies, and programs.
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills; for example, friendly, personable, helpful, patient, and professional.
  • Support the YMCA of the Rockies safety program. Promote safe work practices and a safe environment for guests, members, and staff.
  • Promote a cooperative, positive, and flexible atmosphere while working with others in a diverse community.
  • Attend required abuse risk management training and report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism is required.
  • Must meet acceptable criminal background check standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Use computer and phone systems to assist guests in signing up for activities, sell merchandise, check out equipment, and run daily reports.
  • Communicate with all guests in a mature, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Handle cash accurately, make change, and balance cash boxes.
  • Stock merchandise and maintain cleanliness and organization of the Sweet Memorial Program Building.
  • Facilitate family programs as needed.
  • Remain flexible and positive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Predict, prevent, identify, and respond appropriately to safety issues.
  • Participate in daily cleaning of program buildings as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting in other departments when needed.
