About The Position

The Specialist, Program Dealer is responsible for driving sales growth with existing customers while also developing new customer accounts to meet sales and profit objectives within a designated geographical territory. This role requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. In this position, the Specialist will be tasked with achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for assigned customers through various prospecting and sales tools. This includes gathering and recording sales visit results in Microsoft Dynamics (CRM), prospecting customers within the assigned territory, and managing all administrative account enrollment activities for these accounts. The Specialist will also work to grow both current and new assigned accounts by utilizing internal programming, pricing, and tools, as well as transitioning non-program customers to manufacturer dealer programs. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Specialist will frequently work with the assigned Product Assortment Manager to address inventory issues and optimize local market inventory. The position will also involve supporting expansion efforts in new markets and collaborating with various internal teams, including Customer Service, Pricing, Operations, and Accounts Receivable. Performance will be measured through various metrics, including sales results, administrative compliance, and customer growth. The Specialist will manage approximately 200 accounts, with a requirement to visit each account at least quarterly. The time allocation for account visits includes 40% for top dealers, 30% for bottom customers, and 15% for prospecting potential customers. The remaining 15% of the time will be dedicated to administrative tasks from the home office, limited to one day per week. This role demands a high level of customer focus, action orientation, and effective communication skills, along with a commitment to self-development and continuous improvement.
