The V2X Modernization and Sustainment (M&S) business in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Cost Control Analyst to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be the primary financial support within a program and will ensure that all financial tasks are nurtured to completion. The ideal candidate will possess professional and effective communication skills both within and outside the organization, including the ability to multi-task across various activities. The analyst will be responsible for handling all financial aspects of the program. Additional responsibilities include maintaining contract/program structure in the accounting system, creating/maintaining charge numbers, review of contract and contract modifications and overall cash management process (invoicing / customer receipts). The ability to develop productive partnerships with other functions, analysts, and the Product Line leaders are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
  • Minimum 4 years prior relevant experience in finance or related field
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Working knowledge of accounting practices and procedures e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Budgeting and variance analysis
  • Consistent commitment to goal achievement
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good teaming abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
  • Communication skills: Ability to summarize data and articulate clear takeaway messages for manager/leadership
  • Ability to communicate with confidence
  • Self-confidence to speak up and drive behaviors without formal authority
  • Highly organized, self-manages their own tasks to achieve required deadlines.
  • Ability to triage, prioritize, and re-prioritize in an environment of competing requirements/deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in defense/government contract accounting
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Earned Value Analysis/Management (EVA/EVM)
  • SAP (S4) Business System
  • Knowledge of Federal/Department of Defense contracts and practices

Responsibilities

  • Establish program budgets, track program actual costs, and forecast program cost, revenue, and profit.
  • Prepare program Estimate at Complete position, prepare financial data for monthly Program Management Reviews
  • Responsible for documenting variance analysis explanations on monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Program cash management (invoicing / customer receipts)
  • Ad hoc analysis as needed and support of program month-end close
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
