About The Position

The position involves planning and organizing activities within an assigned program area, providing responsible staff support to the administrator, managing faculty and staff activities, and interfacing with external customers to assess current training needs. The role is crucial in developing and implementing non-credit courses or programs that address the healthcare hiring needs of the community, as well as supporting the continuing education needs of recent graduates.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a health-related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated customer-facing experience in a health-related or health education environment.
  • Proficiency in communicating with diverse populations and providing program information.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare programs, processes, and terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Assists faculty and leadership in developing and implementing new non-credit courses or programs to meet healthcare hiring needs.
  • Supports recruitment and interviewing of new instructors, provides orientation, and evaluates instructor performance.
  • Conducts meetings and presents at the bi-annual ACT Orientation for Nurse Aide and Phlebotomy scholarship applicants.
  • Supports documentation for class CODs, schedules dates, rooms, and trainers/instructors.
  • Supports non-credit registration process, scholarship process, and sponsor desk process.
  • Communicates with instructors, ADs, Program Chairs/Coordinators, and Dean to ensure program direction.
  • Serves as liaison between CE Customer Service and the Healthcare CE department.
  • Updates course and program documents shared with CE Customer Service and CE Records Management.
  • Collaborates with Business Workforce Liaison to develop course or program costs and track budgets.
  • Initiates marketing of non-credit program areas and prepares marketing materials.
  • Ensures end of course documentation requirements are completed efficiently.
  • Oversees and assists administrative specialist with student and employee account issues.
  • Reviews need for equipment, supplies, and instructional materials for new courses or programs.
  • Tracks and reports on student job placement and exam pass rates for non-credit courses.
  • Designs and delivers sales presentations to business and industry partners.
  • Monitors course enrollment to determine which courses may need to be pushed or cancelled.
  • Assists in coordinating major events in the Health Sciences division.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
