The Program Coordinator at Educational Alliance plays a vital role in supporting the Early Childhood programs at the Manny Cantor Center. This position is responsible for facilitating day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and building strong relationships with families, teachers, and staff. The coordinator will assist in enrollment processes, manage documentation, and support the overall philosophy and direction of the preschool, contributing to a progressive educational environment.

  • Support families through the enrollment process by assisting with required paperwork for registration.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to ensure compliance with health and wellness documentation.
  • Maintain documentation of fire drills and lockdowns, and manage allergy lists for students.
  • Keep incident reports organized and ensure they are completed correctly.
  • Send reminders to parents regarding flu shots and vaccination forms.
  • Build respectful relationships with families to address questions about program services.
  • Maintain confidentiality practices to support family privacy.
  • Manage physical and digital files for all children as required by various regulations.
  • Support logistics and day-to-day operations of the Early Childhood program, including administrative tasks.
  • Create and translate flyers and forms for family communication.
  • Organize the Early Childhood Office to ensure accessibility and efficiency.
  • Complete daily attendance checks and manage sign-in/out sheets for staff and providers.
  • Ensure all information in Child Plus is up to date and assist with vendor portal updates.
  • Experience in school operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and advanced computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of data entry and adaptability to various computer systems.
  • Strong document management and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles.
  • Familiarity with DOH, Head Start, or NYCDOE regulations and policies.
  • Bilingual in English/Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) or English/Spanish.
