The Program Coordinator at The Periwinkle Foundation plays a crucial role in planning and leading in-person camps and long-term survivor initiatives. This position operates under the supervision of the Program Director and collaborates closely with the Development and Community Programs teams to ensure the organization maintains, refines, and develops a comprehensive camp program that aligns with its mission. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Periwinkle Day Camp and the Long-Term Survivor Program, which includes volunteer coordination, camper database management, program evaluation, and budgetary controls. Additionally, the role involves planning and preparing for various camps, including Camp Periwinkle, Camp YOLO, Family Camp, and McAllen Family Camp. The Program Coordinator must effectively communicate and build relationships with Periwinkle families and volunteers, requiring fluency in Spanish. The ability to manage multiple programs at various stages of implementation is essential. Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills are necessary, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The individual must be capable of planning, developing, and executing volunteer programs and events while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. A passion for developing and leading high-quality Camp and Survivor programs is vital for success in this role.
