About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Programs Minnesota, the Program Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative oversight to a program in Winona. The Program Coordinator assures that program services are meeting community needs, following applicable licensing and accreditation standards, and performing at a high level of quality, focusing on best practice models and successful outcomes. This position typically starts at the mid wage range which can vary based on education and experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services or a related field.
  • At least two years previous supervisory experience in a human services setting, including staff supervision, marketing, and program management and development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of budget development and management, employee management and motivation, and marketing of human service programs.
  • Must be proficient at standard personal computer programs (Word, Excel, e-mail, etc.) and use a fax, photocopy and other routine office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure program and client services are provided utilizing best practice procedures and evidence-based practices whenever possible.
  • Ensure all applicable licensing and/or accreditation requirements are understood by staff, implemented in programs and reflected in policy manuals as needed.
  • Serve as agency representative with licensing body and state/federal licensing staff.
  • Work proactively with Program Clinical Supervisor on completing quarterly file reviews and measurements, along with ongoing review of documentation including incident reports and required client assessments.
  • Assist in development of annual program budget.
  • Monitor both income and expenses throughout the year and address concerns as needed to stay within budget limits.
  • Coordinate with billing department and CFO as needed to monitor revenue and provide feedback regarding service contracts with school and county entities.
  • Act as a liaison with the community to promote, market, advertise and recruit for programs.
  • Develop positive relationships with program purchasers (school, counties, etc.)
  • Address purchaser concerns, make corrections or program changes as needed based on purchaser input.
  • Hire, discipline, evaluate, and promote employees as needed.
  • Ensure all employees meet training requirements of FCC and specific program licensing or accreditation standards.
  • Effectively manage problematic employee behavior; coach, mentor and develop employees as needed.
  • Work with Facilities Supervisor to ensure that physical needs of program site are maintained as required and within budget constraints.
  • Delegate or conduct maintenance functions that can be handled by on-site staff.
  • Prioritize needed repairs; coordinate with maintenance staff to get repairs done in least disruptive manner possible.
  • Engage as a collaborative member of the agency leadership team.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, strategic planning, agency decision making and problem solving as needed.
  • Disseminate, advocate and communicate agency goals and direction as determined by senior Leadership Team and Board.
