The Bowery Mission is a Christian, faith-based organization committed since the 1870s to serving people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. The Bowery Mission meets essential needs and creates transformative communities with men, women, children, and families in New York so that we can together overcome homelessness and poverty and flourish. The Program Coordinator is an integral part of the Children's Program team. Reporting to the Associate Director, Children's Programs or Supervisor, Mont Lawn City Camp, the Program Associate supports Mont Lawn City Camp's program development and success. The Program Coordinator teaches/facilitates classes, assists other teachers, and contributes to site coverage. Supports curriculum writing with a focus on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) skills. Recruits and enrolls campers. Assists in event planning, logistics, and camper transportation. Provides key support to Leadership Academy. Corresponds with parents/caregiver according to staff guidelines. Promptly and accurately records program data.
