About The Position

Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law seeks a dynamic individual to coordinate activities primarily for the Civil Litigation Clinic Program with assistance to all other College of Law Clinical Programs. Provides assistance to the Civil Litigation Clinic for day-to-day operations including student recruitment, student enrollment, budgeting, filing documents in AZ TurboCourt, class materials, internal office tasks, case management, and communication with clients and community partners. This position also coordinates activities at other College of Law Clinics including recruitment/registration, organization of recruitment events, logistics of applications/enrollments, web site information updates, student practice certifications, clinical fellowship recruitment/administration, administration of clinical program conflict check system, and assistance with general clinic administration. The program coordinator will report to the Faculty Director, Civil Litigation Clinic.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Assistance to the Civil Litigation Clinic for day-to-day operations including student recruitment, student enrollment, budget, reconciliations, case filings, class materials, case management and submission of Rule 38 certifications, and communication with clients.
  • Conduct initial conflict checks on cases and create physical and/or virtual client files for the Civil Litigation Clinic.
  • Answer the Civil Litigation Clinic's phone, respond to emails with the Clinic’s general email address, provide referrals, general program information, and maintain proper communication between clients and students.
  • Monitor student hours, number of cases served, and any other statistical data needed for reporting purposes in the Civil Litigation Clinic.
  • Assist Clinic Director with scheduling, reimbursements, travel, and completing pending cases during school breaks.
  • Assist law students with civil litigation cases including, program and Clio training, file management, logistics of case management, communicating with Court staff, and filing cases in AZ TurboCourt or other local Courts as appropriate.
  • Management of student recruitment and registration for clinical programs.
  • Management of Student Practice Certification for all students in the clinical programs, fellowships, and Pro Bono.
  • Management of clinical fellowship recruitment and administration.
  • Management and administration of clinical program conflict check system.
  • Provide Assistance to Clinical Faculty Coordinator with administration of the clinical programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the department and clinical programs.
