The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting administrative, academic, and operational processes of the Master’s of Science programs in Environment and Sustainability Management, and Climate, Environment and Health, two joint graduate degree programs offered by the Earth Commons in partnership with the School of Business and School of Health respectively. These include: commitment to student success as part of an equitable and diverse community; academic planning, and administration; providing admissions support to applicants as well as supporting academic affairs / student services to enrolled students; co-curricular and faculty support; event support; and general administrative operations for the programs. The Program Coordinator is the primary point of contact for all students and is responsible for day-to-day, on-the-ground activities to manage and maintain a successful and vibrant program. The Program Coordinator works closely with the program teams to implement policies and procedures and to evaluate initiatives designed to enhance the student experience. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: leading the registration process; auditing students’ degree progress; preparing grade reports and class ranks; and developing and executing program events including New Student Orientation. Because the Program Coordinator will interface with and provide comprehensive support and resources to all students, the Coordinator will also be a liaison between the students and university support (e.g., Office of Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Office of Global Studies, JOGS, ECo, SoH, MSB, University Registrar, Academic Resource Center, Counseling and Psychiatric Service). The Program Coordinator will also work closely with other academic units and participate in program review.
