About The Position

The CALIBER Center for HIV and Alcohol Use is seeking an individual who can contribute to its Dissemination and Community Engagement (DICE) and Pilot Cores. The DICE core organizes a Community Advisory Board for the Center and also manages its website and social media channels, making research and scientific findings from CALIBER investigators more accessible to the public as well as other academic audiences. The Pilot Core organizes small pilot projects that are designed to catalyze larger investigations within the area of HIV and Alcohol Use, which are primarily to be led by early stage investigators. As part of the core’s activities, trainings and educational symposia are organized to provide a more robust experience for pilot award grantees. The successful candidate will be organized, able to communicate with a broad audience including those with lived experience and other community members, early stage investigators, and stakeholders. They will also be fluent in using social media to reach diverse audiences and able to help and create tailor content for a website. For the community advisory board, they will be able to work with investigators to generate meeting agendas, organize logistics, and track participation and evaluation metrics for the meetings. For the Pilot core, they will be able to orchestrate an application process for early stage investigators to apply for pilot projects, compile and track application materials, schedule selection committee meetings and educational symposia for grantees, and maintain records for pilots once awarded. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $29.03 - $41.55 (Hourly Rate). Requirements

  • High school graduation and four years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Working knowledge of administrative procedures and processes including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
  • Requires verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work with stakeholders and community members
  • Demonstrates ability to navigate social media platforms and contribute to web design
