The person in this position will be responsible for the planning, implementing, and managing initiatives aimed at educating individuals, families, and communities about opioid addiction, prevention, treatment, and recovery. Person in this position will work closely with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies, to achieve program objectives aimed at reducing opioid-related overdoes in the community.

  • Collaborate with team members to develop, refine, and execute program goals and objectives.
  • Research and stay updated on best practices, policies, and resources related to opioid addiction education.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and training sessions to raise awareness and deliver educational content.
  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of educational programs and workshops.
  • Ensure program activities are aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Monitor program outcomes and collect data for evaluation.
  • Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and impact.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and feedback.
  • Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in word processing programs, preferably MS Word, and spreadsheet programs, preferably MS Excel. Internet skills.

  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal history background check.
  • CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility for WestCare’s Vehicle Insurance.
  • During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in program coordination, preferably in a substance use prevention or harm reduction setting.
  • Knowledge of Fentanyl, opioid use disorders, and harm reduction principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, psychology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
